the pink flowers look just plain odd to me - are they the same as the bromeliads from a couple posts ago?

Fascinating! Is the pink one a cactus - growing on a tree? Anyhow, it is beautiful!

Great pictures, lovely pink colour...
I know a little bit about Bromelias. Google telles me :
They are a genus of tropical American plants characterized by flowers with a deeply cleft calyx, of the family Bromeliaceae, named after the Swedish botanist Olaf Bromelius (died 1705).
Should get one..
- Cheers.
